The Society for Advances in Occupational Therapy in India (SAOTI) is committed to Evidence-based Occupational Therapy.
Evidence-based practice may simply be defined as "integrating individual clinical expertise and the best external evidence" (Sackett, Rosenberg, Gray, Haynes, & Richardson, 1996, p.71).
It stresses two factors: The practitioner's clinical expertise, something each of us is responsible for, and the best external evidence available, something each of us should seek.
The links provided on this page, individual postings, articles and other databases provided elsewhere on this website, and their claims, may or may not be supported by evidence. We encourage all who visit our site to establish for themselves the credibility of all articles, programs and practitioners whose sites have been linked to ours.
